About Me
Sarah Reed
I am a second-generation La Mesa-Spring Valley School District graduate, attending Fletcher Hills Elementary, Parkway Middle School, and Grossmont High School, graduating in 2003. My mother taught at Northmont Elementary before retiring.
I am married to my high school sweetheart, and we are foster/adoptive/biological parents to 6 children, ranging in ages from 3 to 18. They are all current or future La Mesa-Spring Valley School District students or graduates and have a range of educational needs. I have been in IEP meetings as a teacher, an administrator, and a parent. Prior to serving on the school board, I was PTA president at my children’s elementary school, and I remain active in the PTA. My faith inspires me to act justly, love mercy, and walk humbly.
My purpose for being on the school board was and will continue to be to give back to the district and community that shaped me into who I am. I love collaboration and believe we are better humans when we surround ourselves with people who look, think, and act differently from us. I believe the top priority of a school district is to develop kind, hardworking, community and service-oriented students. When La Mesa-Spring Valley School District thrives, my children thrive.
